Our history

Anne-Marie & Paul GASPARINI

The life offered to us seemed rather bland, but our love for the sea and sailing shaped our destiny. It all began in 1970, when our shared passion for marine life kicked off a thrilling maritime adventure.

In 1976, we built our first boat, an “Endurance 35” named “EIFKAT”, thus announcing the beginning of the realization of our dreams. Three years later, in 1979, we undertook a family trip around the world which lasted ten years, with our two children aged four and three. These years were divided between stopovers for work, children’s education and travel, with correspondence courses for their schooling.

Back in France in 1988, we undertook the construction of a new boat, a “Brise de mer 44” named “L’ESCAPADE”, intended to be operated as a charter. In June 1993, after obtaining the necessary qualifications, we began our activity in Corsica, then transported the boat to the Antilles in Martinique to start the charter. In July 2000, in search of new horizons, we left for Polynesia to continue our activity in Tahiti.

After eight years of chartering in Polynesia, with demand evolving towards catamarans rather than monohulls, we acquired a “Salina 48” catamaran in December 2008, thus expanding our fleet. After transporting the boat from La Rochelle to Polynesia, we started working with the catamaran in April 2009.

In September 2016, taking a new step, we acquired a second catamaran “Léopard 46”. For six years, from September 2016 to February 2022, we offered these two catamarans for charter.

In February 2022, a new page turned with the sale of SARL L’Escapade charter, thus marking the end of our charter activity. Despite this transition, our passion for the sea continues to drive us, ready to sail towards new adventures, hence the creation of the PAN-PAN SAILING platform.
